The Sub-Zero outer shell with vapour management
system keeps you dry in a totally different way.
Outer fabrics based on porous membrane technology stop working
in the rain- the pores simply block with water.
Our solution to this is a twin layer shell. The inner
membrane allows water vapour through but won't let damp
back in (up to a 2m head of water can be held back by our
fabric).
We add a completely waterproof outer layer to keep out the
elements. This layer condenses the vapour on the inner layer
and allows it to collect at a drain point at the bottom for
release when convenient. |

Sub
Zero was
chosen by the Expedition to climb Chaukula in the Himalayas,
all 6529m of it. Environments like this test any technical
clothing to their limits and Sub Zero performed exceptionally
well.
